Many moms like to have a beautiful spa day or a special meal, but I would like to do something a little different on the holiday. I like celebrating the strength of my mother for mothers day. As we were growing up, my mother instilled many values in me. How to have excellent manners, how to keep a home, how to interact with the world. These are all lessons that the average mother teaches her child, however, my mother took it a step further. She really wanted to be certain that I understood not only the world and how it affected me but how I can affect the world.
My ultra strong mother made it really clear that we needed to reach out and protect the community and she came up with community service project for kids. If I had a dollar, half of that should be going to help the less fortunate. This year, Reese and I decided to take on some community service in order to keep the spirit of servitude alive in the family.
One of the projects we decided to take on was doing some local cleanup in the park and our neighborhood. This is a really easy project to put together and Reese actually had fun. All we needed were appropriate clothes (i.e. closed-toe shoes), a good attitude and some Hefty® Ultra Strong™ trash bags. Community Service Project For Kids
You never know what you’re going to encounter in the park, so it’s smart to be prepared. With Hefty® Ultra Strong™ trash bags we can pick up just about anything, even heavy items like tree branches. It was nice knowing Hefty® Ultra Strong™ trash bags are strong and tough, and we didn’t have to worry about damaged bags. Community Service Project For Kids
Why is this so important? Just like every other mother, I am looking forward to continuing the traditions my family has handed down to me. I want my daughter to know that though she has incredible advantages, she cannot rest on her laurels. Community Service Project For Kids
When you have been fortunate enough to live a relatively peaceful life, you owe it to the less fortunate to lend a hand. It feels good to be able to help the people who surround us. In my family, we believe in raising women who are strong and tough just like the Hefty® bags we throw our disposables in. Community Service Project For Kids
Giving back to the communities we live in is critical for raising the quality of life for so many of the people who are in need. There are many people in the world who do not take the time to give back, but I am forever grateful that in this Mom knew best, just like she knew to pick the right Hefty® trash bags to get the job done. Happy Mother’s Day to all of you, enjoy every moment of joy! Community Service Project For Kids
