The coolest thing about Disney, aside from the fact that it’s the happiest place on Earth, is that you can enjoy it year-round, regardless of whether it’s warm or chilly. But there are some hidden gems that most people never even knew about Disney that can totally bump your vacation experience with the family up a couple of notches. So here are some of our best Disney hacks to help you enjoy Disney like you never have before.
8 Disney Hacks You Need To Read Before Your Next Trip
Start At The Back
If you’re one of the first to get in through the gates, don’t start at the front of the theme park, because that’s where everyone else will be heading. Start at the back instead like going to Splash Mountain first. Then move your way to the front so you can avoid the crowds and dry off at the same time.
Use FastPass
We’d love a ride on Space Mountain, but we just don’t like having to wait in line for an hour and a half. But that’s why FastPass exists, so why aren’t you using it? Grab a FastPass to Space Mountain and then go spend some time at the “It’s A Small World” ride while you wait to make your experience a little less cray-cray. If you don’t feel like purchasing it, you can always make sure you arrive early, as very few people are willing to wake up and have a blast so early in the morning. Parks, (and this includes Disney) are notorious for being pretty empty right when they open, so set up the alarm, and have a blast before anyone even wakes up.
You Can Eat Plants (Seriously!)
One of the reasons we love Disney is that we get to do stuff we probably wouldn’t imagine doing anywhere else like eating plants. That’s right! If you to Tomorrowland you’ll find that the plants there are edible, thanks to Walt Disney himself, who imagined a future where we would be fully self-sustaining.
Hack The Mad Tea Party
If you hate spinning, but your kid insists on going to the Mad Tea Party, then get on the teacups with the hearts, because they’re the slowest. The orange, diamond, and purple cups spin the fastest, so stay away from those, or have an extra pair of clothes to change into.
Sit In The Middle Of The Monorail
Try sitting in the middle as this will give you easy access to get out rather than being stuck behind seemingly hundreds of people at each stop, and losing your chances at getting to the head of the line at the more popular rides.
Soarin’ In The Front Row
If you want to enjoy this amazing life-like hang-glider simulator, but hate the thought of stinky feet and the dangling soles of everyone’s shoes above your face, then ask to sit in the front row. Not only will this allow you to enjoy the breathtaking sites, but your nostrils will thank you for it.
Bring A Sharpie
Disney is like the Hollywood of the Enchanted Forest, and you’re going to run into all kinds of iconic characters like Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, and of course, Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. So you might as well carry a sharpie and buy an autograph book cause you’re about to meet some really enchanting people.
Eat When People Ride
Grab a bite to eat either before noon or consider a late lunch after 2 pm. The same goes for dinner time. Instead of eating at 5 or 6 pm, try a later time. This will allow you and your family to eat while everyone is waiting in line or on a ride, while you eat. Then you can ride without waiting in long lines while they eat.
