It’s the holiday season and I’m so excited to start gifting things to Reese! Speaking of the holiday season, that means winter break for her as well. Even though Reese is homeschooled, she still gets that school winter break like all the other kids. With that break comes a lot more traveling for us. I don’t want her missing out on her daily reading times. This holiday season, I thought about gifting some new books to her so that she may keep up with those daily readings! I had to ask her first, “when you think of Christmas, what’s one place you would like to experience it?” She replied “ New York City!” I decided to pick books specifically around New York that she hasn’t read before.
To her surprise, I am going to gift her these before Christmas hits! I just couldn’t wait for her to get that reading going. Books including “The Harlem Charade,” “Ground Zero,” and “Dactyl Hill Squad.” I am excited for her to read these books because I really think they will spark her interest in reading more over the break.
Did you know that 94% of parents agree that reading books over any kind of break will help their child during the school year? Besides, winter, fall, and summer break are a big chunk of time for them to not be reading. Keep their minds engaged and gift your little ones a book today! What book would you recommend?
