These cookies are perfect for Easter gatherings, or any other spring celebration. Keep reading for the recipe and instructions!
First you will need the following ingredients to create these adorable treats:
- Oreos
- White Chocolate
- Coconut Shavings
- White and Black icing eyes
- Green, Black and Blue Food Coloring
- Fondant (Cream or White Color)
- Sticks (optional)
Now let’s get started!
Instructions:
Step One: Start by melting your white chocolate. You can do this in a microwave-safe bowl, or over a double boiler on the stove. If you’re using the microwave, heat the chocolate in 30 second increments, stirring in between each interval.
Step Two: Once the chocolate is melted, begin dipping the Oreos. Be sure to cover the entire cookie, and tap off any excess chocolate. Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and pop them in the fridge for about 15 minutes to set.
Step Three: Then, add some coconut shavings for the lamb’s wool. Allow the cookies to set for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
Step Four: While your cookies are setting, let’s work on this fondant. Separate the fondant and place into three separate bowls. In one bowl add your blue food coloring, in another add your black food coloring and in the last one add your green food coloring.
Step Five: Now it’s time to add the finishing touches! Take your fondant and roll it into tear drops and circular shapes (big and small) . These will be the lamb’s nose as well as the body. Press them gently onto the top of each cookie, and then add a stick if desired for a cake pop finish. Your cookies are now ready to serve!
Enjoy these delicious lamb oreos at your next spring get together! They’re sure to be a hit with everyone. Happy baking!
