Are you considering a road trip this Spring Break? Taking a road trip with your kids can be a great way to spend quality time together. They can also be a quick way to drive you absolutely insane if not planned correctly. If you’re planning a road trip with your kids these Tips For Road Trips With Kids are a must-read.
3 Tips For Road Trips With Kids and How To Keep Them Entertained
ARE WE THERE YET?
These 4 words drive me insane so to keep Reese entertained on long car rides I pack plenty of car games. Magnetic board games, portable video games, and classics such as the license plate game, “I Spy” always seem to keep her in good spirits and actively engaged no matter how long the journey.
SAY NO TO GERMS!!
When making a stop at a rest stop or public bathroom leave the germs and bacteria behind. Bring products that fight germs like hand sanitizer and Lysol Disinfectant Spray and wipes. The last thing you want to do is get sick while traveling.
EAT RIGHT
Okay, I’ll admit, one of the things on my travel bucket list is to pull off and eat at one of those restaurants that just say EAT (don’t judge me lol). I’ve yet to do it though. Roadside dining doesn’t always offer the healthiest choices so I tend to pack my own snacks that we can eat right in the car. Our go-to snacks are trail mix, moon cheese, real fruit snack rolls, fresh fruit, and our favorite flavored water.
Road trips can be a lot of fun and your kids will have memories to last a lifetime.
