It's officially fall, and winter's not far behind, but it'll always feel like summer at Great Wolf Lodge! I feel like some of the best vacation spots are in-state, so when I found this amazing gem in Garden Grove, I had to grab my car and go. The lovely Great Wolf lodge includes not only a wide array of entertainment, like a 105,000 square feet of indoor water park fun, exclusive to resort guests, but also top-quality accommodations, which are perfect whether you're traveling alone, as a couple, with a group of friends, or with a family full of kids. I stayed in their Grand Bear Family suite, which accommodates 8 guests and has a private master bedroom with a king bed and a full bathroom for just $549.99. But there were so many suites to choose from, it’s insane! If you’re looking to stay in a smaller bedroom, then the Family Suite will run you about $269.99 per night. Be sure to keep an eye on their website because prices do change based on the day of the week and/or the time of year so it's possible to score a really good deal. Orange County Indoor Water Park
The room was inviting, but we had to leave and check out their dining options as we were starving. The buffet-style restaurant from Loose Moose Family Kitchen offered a vast array of options the whole family can enjoy. From pasta, burgers, hot dogs, french fries and the super delicious Buckets Incredible Craveables. There was even a Dunkin Donuts which was a total hit with the kids.
There are plenty of attractions and entertainment to bond with your kids as well like Story Time, where you gather around in the Grand Lobby every night with your kids and listen to an interesting story told by one of the Great Wolf Kids characters. You can also spend the night playing 9-hole themed indoor miniature golf at the Howl at the Moon Glow Golf course.

Let's face it, the thing that attracted me to Great Wolf Lodge was the fact that they had an indoor water park. Anywhere from Wolf Tail, a 360-degree thrill ride with a vertical plunge through a trapdoor that leads into an enclosed tunnel, to the six-story funnel slide of the Howlin' Tornado, there's just no way you or your kids can get bored here.
Oh! And as far as safety is concerned, the park does offer lockers to keep your personal belongings safe, for free. They also provide life jackets in all sizes so even though Reese can swim I still put her in one just to ease my mind! There are also two holiday themed events, like the Howl-O-Ween event that's being held for the entire month of October, which includes a Monster Bash Dance Party, a daily costume parade, and so much more. If Halloween isn't your thing, there's always the Snowland event in December, which includes a winter wonderland of fun like the North Pole University, daily snow showers in the Grand Lobby, and even a special appearance by Santa Claus himself. Overall, we were obsessed with the level of attention we received from their amazing staff. Not only did I get a wristband, that allowed me to open my room door, but I could also use it to buy food. The best part is that even though checkout is at 11, they didn't push for us to leave pronto. I was actually able to stay until 8 pm and use the water park. Orange County Indoor Water Park

I honestly can't wait to come back. I might even bring some new friends along. One thing's for sure, the Great Wolf Lodge has everything I would ever need for the ultimate staycation all under one roof and the experience is truly unforgettable. Orange County Indoor Water Park
